Well yes, but it also represents a horrible waste of time and money.

Good for you!!!! Hang on to those.... ;)
I've thought about machining mine for a set of BG annular discharge boosters to get a little low end torque.... :D

    Hello,

Jim Miles had a chopped 1934 Ford 3 window coupe on a trailer at the Riverside Raceway dragstrip back in 1959. We had just driven 2 plus hours one way to get to the dragstrip. For us, that was a long drive so early in the morning. We wanted to get there for the gates opening at daybreak. Yikes, we had to leave at 3 in the morning for the 5 am front gate opening.

It was a cold winter morning in Riverside. But things started to heat up with all of the fans and race cars attending. We wandered around the pits talking about the cool race cars and which ones were our favorites. Since one of our friends had a black 34 Ford 5 window with a big Olds motor we were on the lookout for 34 ford race cars.

This red chopped 34 Ford with wire wheels on the front and Moon Discs on the back was just off loading in the pits. The big Hemi motor and front mount supercharger prominently displayed.

It was an A/Fuel coupe, so this should sound pretty good. It did and we were amazed at how it looked and sounded. So far, that long early morning drive was well worth it…

Ever since then, we were on the lookout at our local dragstrips for the red, 3 window Ford racing in that fast class.

Then we found it again at the Bakersfield Smokers March Meet in 1960.
