From swi66 in the vintage thread. Wonder how well it worked. Couldn't have been worth it or everybody would haver jumped on the bandwagon.
Looks like the back end of the scoop is squared off.... No upswept radius....
They should have engineered it better....
Being a nailhead fan this pic makes me feel tingly all under. Wonder what the rest of the car looks like; or who owns it. Any more pix of this engine?
found on bangshift from one of the car show coverage will see if I can find it again
No luck finding it again If you know how to search google I guess for images using that photo maybe you can find it that way (sorry I don't know how they do that.)
BUT I did find you another nailhead photo DUAL QUADS
If one is Good, Two is Better, Right?
Anybody know the injector scoop on this one?
Believe me, this was engineered to the max. Note the aero tray under the car. The whole deal was a package meant to add down force at 200 mph. They didn't call him "Sneaky Pete" for nothing. It worked, too good. I saw Pete Robinson get killed in this car at Pomona when the tremendous down force collapsed the front end, and sent him into the Armco guard rail at 200mph.
Algon (Al Gonsalez).
Yes it is 40willys sent me this photo
That is sad news.
The Legend, Sneaky Pete Robinson. He was only 37 when he died .
