How about a 6x2 for a Buick Nailhead. Oh, and it's for sale or trade as well. IMG_1247.JPG IMG_1245.JPG

  7. Mikey -
Very glad your 406(?) is running right! Prepping for the 6-71 on mine. Blowers don't like inlet restriction, according to my machinist/dyno man. That larger carb may give it a lot more.
Any idea what your "A" weighs?

  11. I ran the car with the 950 last year with good results, then the float bowel level kept changing for some reason ? So I am going over the 950. and see what the result will be. It is a Quick Fuel blower carb. Fuel system has also been re-done.

  14. Thanks Mikey! Gotta say, this big block is already the strongest engine I've ever ran. Can't wait!
It's been said, there's two kinds of hot rodders. Those with blowers, and those who want them. Probably not 100% accurate, but true in my case.

I was thinking the same thing!!! 460% over! (measured it in a drafting program)
    MOTOR 8,000 RPM = BLOWER 36,800 RPM!

It probly wasn't a real efficient blower and had to overdrive it that much to develop boost

  21. The numbers are like the centrifugal blowers the Novi's ran. Those who saw the Novi's run at Indy say they sounded like a pissed off banshee.

  25. Tuning Post. Well I rebuilt the 950 DP and stuck it on the blower. She fired right up. AFR #s are even better, 13.9- 14 3 at idle. She has a bit of a roll, hunt, or blower surge what ever you want to call it, but hardly any when dropped into gear. I need to take her out and do some test hits, and see what the #s are at steady driving. May have to play with jetting yet, and primary PV. Secondary PV is blocked, no pv.

My guess with the larger carb on the blower it can breath better and let more air in with the fuel.
