The first year for F.I. for Chevrolet was 1957. There were four different injectors in 1957. The earliest was P/N 7017360, which was supposed to be the worst of the early injectors. But in 1977 I located one in Rockford to mount on my 57 Corvette. My Corvette was a Oct 1956 build, so it was an appropriate match. The car ran like a fine watch for years with that "worst" injector until the day I sold the car and delivered it to the buyer. The most dumb-ass thing I ever did. That car was telling me something that final day.
