James, are you sure that it was not? My memory is old (like me), but I seem to recall one version of the 1968 Corvette 427 with three twos.
Actually two versions, the oval port, hydraulic cammed 400 horse engine and there was a solid cam, big port 435 HP.

Crankshaft turns the impellers and compresses the air and fuel. I’m not sure what you are seeing that does not make sense.
