Current pics of the impalas progress.
Lengthened hood, corner markers removed and molded to the body, other modifications to be done soon.

Yea I know the car is newer than most on here...... but the knowledge of the people on the hamb far exceeds any other board I have been on.
So hopefully I am somewhat excepted and can get some of the HAMBers ideas.

Traditional custom restyling would call for an up-scale car's grill.
So in place of the "entry-level" cheap-ass Chevy stamped aluminum grill check out some "better" car's fronts for similar "V" shapes like late 60's maybe early 700's Buicks from Skylark to LeSabre, to Riviera.
Or even some of the MoPar's like Dodge Monaco.
Reduce the bumper to just the main horizontal bar and replace the rest with a body color rolled and molded pan/valence.
Some '66 Imperial glass covered headlights maybe?

That grill might work but it's not any more "fancy" than the Chevy grill.
    Know what I mean?
    It's just different...
If you already have it, check where the Chevy grill recedes top to bottom where the Ford gill sticks out in the center, ending up looking fairly "flat" in profile.
Maybe you can cut loose the top half and flip it upside down so it too will recede lie the bottom half does?
I like grill swaps over the over done "just put a tube grill in it" non-improvement.

its not much just shaved, bagged, 15"supremes, louvered hood, kandy mango with a gold pearl, pinstriped, dual frenched antennas, orange flake dash and interior, organ pipe speakers, bobble head chihuahua, bellflowers, bla bla bla. any way wut my plans on the grill is a chromed twisted square tube.. yours looks killer, get 'r' done. what does clip her hair mean???

67 Buick grille would look great, and it looks like it might fit right too.

I've been watching the build on your car on the other board for a little bit...you do nice work, by the way......I really like the fender and hood extensions........

I have a 67 Impala too and recently aquired a complete '70 Buick Rivi' front bumper and grill...I'll be trying it out for a test fit soon.....I'll let you know how well or not...it fits...Neal

I like the Buick grille a lot, although the car really does look good with it's stock grille in place as shown, maybe just black out the upright bars in the stock grille?

I like the car. I think the stock grille's cool, it would be awesome if you swept it back more, like a shark mouth, maybe hidden headlights. Or you could go traditional lowrider and do a custom twisted chrome bar job.

Nice car, it ain't too new for my likingh, I want a '67 Rivi, bad.

Anthony the Imp is turning out fuckin bitchin. stance is bang on.

I think a tube grille peaked in the center to line up with the hood with curved ends would look really good. as for headlights, whats about 62 Impala? the bezels are one piece...

Your car looks exactly like a car my oldest bro built in `70 in east los angeles.I remember he had metal shop in school and thats where he did most of the work.He got rid of the parking lights as you did and shaved everything. He would open the door by kicking the pipe(bellflower type). It had hydros..what lowrider didn`t.Oh ya ..it had a light bar inside.Heres an idea on a grille...my bros car had a `60? mercury grille and headlights,it looked badd ass!!!That car was painted deep purple metallic by Earl shieb auto paint(29.95!!!).It was stolen in `73 at a Garfield high school football game.MEMORIES.

Im all about the 60's cars, Ive got a 64 cady. The grills in the 63 64 cadys are clean. You can color match the center bar cause its painted steel. All the other bars are aluminium except the center. Check one out, I think it would look awsome.
