Okay, it seems like I've been seeing some cool valve covers for early Hemis here and there lately. Maybe we can get a gallery together showing some of the cool valve covers from EARLY Hemis over the years. Post what pics you have, what engine they're for (Chrysler, Desoto, Dodge, whatever...NO TOYOTA HEMIS) and tell us a little about them if you know anything.

I should start since I brought it up...

    Love these M/T's!!

And of course we can't forget even the most simplest of valve covers...

Hope you guys have something to add. I would really like to see some painted one's with contrasting letters. Thinking of going Black with silver letters on mine...

My favorite is from the 354-Chrysler powered Dodge trucks. They had "POWER GIANT" on them (I believe it was paint) and were really cool.

Here are some dual-plug getups... including a pair from a more eco-sensitive era. ;)

I am looking for a set of the wire covers just like these if anyone out there has a set.

  15. Don't have a pic but I saw a really cool pair a couple of months ago, Someone had gone to the trouble of adding bumps to a pair of stock Firepower covers and then they metalworked all the letters flat and had them rechromed and they were smooth, hard to tell how it was done but they were old, done a long time ago. I like them with letters but these things were custom!

I have Bumped Marines with old chrome

  23. I have one bumped CHRYSLER MARINE as a wall hanger.I painted it red,& did the letters with silver model paint by hand.
I also spun some thin aluminum discs to cover the sp plug holes & glued em in...I'll go take a picture.

He cut it off the car & handed it to me after we put my dads ashes in it,& went 250 something....Bonneville 1996.

Wow, you've got a set of Dovonans? Yours is the only other set I've seen that weren't in a vintage race pic.

  28. Your picture made me think of this one.

Heres a question too,,,can anybody explain where my dad vented his engines?
We never had no holes/breathers in the valve covers,,ever.I should remember something this easy but I cant.

And there wasnt a stock oil-fill/valley cover on it....flat plate of alum.

I DO remember if the thing got hot,oil smoke would come out of the covers/sp plug tube holes.
Maybe thats how it was vented?,a little space between the grommet & cover?,,Just for 1/4 mile?

Im doing it my way on the slowly progressing re pop,& you wont see any breathers.
    BOOM!
