Very nice work so far, John -- You've collected some very nice parts, especially the coupe body! I'm looking forward to following along.

Also, it was very nice to meet you and hang out during the Rodder's Journal Revival.

Hahaha that's not me! It'd be funny as hell if it was. Anyways I used Home Depot low odor paint stripper with a few different metal and plastic squeegees. Then I sanded with 60 grit and then some scotchbrite. It def needs some more sanding in spots but it's good enough for now.

  16. Thanks for posting up so much of the detail. Some of the more common mods necessary to get an A body on the 32 frame are under documented (e.g., exactly how far back to place the body in order to center the rear wheels with the stock crossmember location, or which method one chooses to spread the firewall). Photos are always a huge help.

    great looking build.

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah I always felt I had to refer to ten different threads to get a simple answer when good photo aren't available so I'm trying to post as many detailed photos as I can.

    Nice project!
Can you say what width the rear housing is? And was it modified by Curry?

Yeah sure the housing is the 57" wide rear that SoCal sells for their 32 frames. I know they have a 55". I prob could've used the 55" and still had wheel clearance but the 57" came with the frame when I bought it.

I would leave it un chopped, but it will look good with a chopped top too. There are way more with a chop, so un chopped is a refreshing look.

I actually DO have some updates but no pics yet. In the process of upgrading my camera. Basically rebuilt the front feet and fixed the gap between the cowl and firewall. Onto the rear subrails right now. Holidays are screwing my schedule all up. I'll post up good photos once the rear subrails are looking good.
