My God....that was amazing. I had no idea that there were American units flying Spitfires on photo missions. 5,000,000 photos shot by his unit alone!! Unarmed, no escort no armor on the a/c. All of that equals HUGE BALLS!! That is so cool to watch him watching the film of himself for the first time. The aircraft, cars, music and people were all the greatest! that was just too, damn cool!! Thanks for posting that. It's fellas like him that built the types of cars we all love so much too. After flying a Spitfire, unarmed and alone over Berlin in '43, it would take quite a bit to get your adrenaline pumping! I'll bet he liked fast cars and bikes too!
Damn Frank, that just sent tingles down my spine, what a story. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Thanks for the post. That is a great story. God Bless The Greatest Generation. They really got this country to where it is today. It must be sad for them to see what's taking place in this day and age. We owe them everything and they ask for nothing. THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU A very grateful VNV
Managed to hold still for a minute of crappy editing and crappier music. Then clicked the red X. What could this jerk be thinking? Technopop is cool and my grandad is cool and 5 second jump cuts are cool so if I put them together they must be awesome?
That was simply awesome!! Keep in mind whenever you see some average looking old guy, you just never know what miraculous and courageous feats they may have performed. May God bless the GREATEST GENERATION.
I had to watch it twice to figure out what you were talking about. Oh well, you should have stuck with it another 5 seconds. Great little short and now I'm looking for more. I'd love to be there, when he shows that to his grand kids. You can just see the surprise wash over his face, when he realises it's him in the movie. And then awe that it's a movie. Great stuff.
