I was at the start last Saturday, but I'm having computer problems and won't be able to post pix for awhile. The Blues Mobile "replica" was a hoot. Gary

 

1985, I steered a pair of old rodders (Al and Dale Caldwell) to a '36 roadster, little rust, all there. I was working full time, so steered them to Merv Furtado for a fresh flathead, Merv delivered it in a week! They did a nice job of prepping it for the Great Race, ran it in 1986, Pennzoil and Interstate were major sponsors...
Afterwards, they stopped in to Allison BMW, and presented me with a Pennzoil cap for my 'assistance'.
Wish I could have been more 'Hands-On'!
