Sinful to have those sparkplug wire covers on and hiding the adjustable rocker bumps!

 

When have hot rodders used economics to decide what part they use on their babies?

 

And a front mount distributor......

That is a breather, on top of the oil fill tube.

 

I see the distributor in the correct spot and the oil filter straight up on the left, I think the filter was put there because the wet exhaust manifold was in the way. That drive unit with reverse is driven off the nose of the crank.

 

Sometimes little can be big. Photographed this wee hemi in a T in Australia years ago.

All alloy; about 215 c.i. fits in there like it was made for it. Can even close the hood. Have seen one or to these motors around here and in Oz, but probably unheard of in the U.S. Originally used in Toyota Century limo. No relation to the later ohc Lexus etc models

 

Getting close to finishing this one

Marine Hemi's drove the V-Drive from the front. I had a 354 Marine Engine. Really different set up, lots of gears!!!

That new Chizler ad on THE TEEVEE that is promoting the latest and greatest hemi is really lame, their marketing department needs to take notes from how they use to do it.
I'm sure they impress those same people that get their knowledge of cars from those "ass grab'n" car shows on cable TV.
