This one is on a 1927 Ford Phaeton my father in law built and now its at our home. Rumor is the engine came from his Dad’s old 1970s pickup truck from California. He brought the truck to Newport, RI, managed to sell the body, kept the motor and squeezed it into this car he was working at the time. It’s made it to Bonneville and back. Runs well, makes car heavy.

My old 1967 427 Sideoiler. Built by a former Holman and Moody mechanic. 1969 Cobra Jet heads, solid lifters, Mallory Crab Cap dizzy, Factory dual quad set up with NOS carbs.

............I remember seeing one of those in the Summer of 1965. I was only 14 yrs. old at the time, riding my bicycle in the neighborhood, when I spied it parked in front of someone's house. I knew it was something special as I had read about them in the magazines. Dashed home, grabbed my camera and hurried back to take these two shots. Never saw it again. This was a Red one. As I understand, they only came in a few color choices, maybe Red, Yellow and Black, but don't quote me on that.
