More progress today .......now it's time to fire up the grill and eat.
That is great watching this piece of history be redone...
A buddy of mine, his dad also raced one, it had a pirate with a sward and he was holding a head..... He lost track of the car. He was out of Akron ohio, back in the day....
This is great!
WAAAAaaay Cool! See you at TDR 2012.
It's alive !!!! and it's a fire breathing, loud, and stinky son of a gun !!!!!!!!!
Now...We'll see if it moves tomorrow.....
Been following this thread ...... will check it out at Thompson on Saturday.
Another one of the GREAT cars that bring back lots of memories of "back then"!!!!
GREAT FIND.... thanks for bringing it back to life and putting it back where it belongs..... on the drag strip!!!!!!
An amazing car! Glad to see it being brought back, and thanks for posting the progress pics!
Only two days to go, can't wait to see it running.
So cool to see it all lettered up and ready to tear up the strip. Been great to follow along on the restoration project. Looking forward to seeing it done!
Fired up and moving under it's own power !!!
AWESOME! Have to work this weekend so I can't make it to Thompson. I'll just have to stop by
A special thanks to John Denslow for his tireless effort to help us get the car ready for Thompson. We couldn't have done it without him !!
Ready to load up and head to Thompson.
Have a great time at Thompson. Stoked to see the pics of it moving under it's own power and being loaded into the trailer!
Turned out to be really nice at Thompson today.
Yes, it was a good one!!!!
Non-stop action practically all day. Those cars are run "all-out" .... Not just there for show.
You cannot beat "nostalgia drag racing".
SUBSCRIBED! Maan this is a killer thread! great save too btw
First outing fielded a lot of questions for Rob & Carey while the Gasser Passer Pit Crew - John Denslow, took the time out to race his Comet
Carey.... Stopped by a few times to visit but kept missing you. I did talk to others that were with you.
It felt SO GOOD just STANDING by the Gasser Passer. Am I Crazy??? So much history vibrating off of it!
Great job you guys are doing "saving" such a GREAT CAR from the past!
Sorry I missed talking to you.....No, you are not crazy.....that thing grabs me every time I walk by it !!!
Obviously NO EXPLANATION is needed!!!!
No doubt we'll catch up with you sooner or later.
Great to see it at the track!!!! I hope to see it in person soon. I need to get lots of pics when its done so I can do a killer drawing of it!!!
Photo session after the race.
So when will she go under the knife again?
Hi again Carey.... Love the "grudge race" pic......
How was the Gasser Reunion at Beaver Springs???
I know hot rodders will freak-out when they get a look at the "Gasser Passer" at Bowling Green.
Wish we could be there.
See you in September at Thompson???
[So when will she go under the knife again?
As soon as we can find another body to get a pattern from.
I've really enjoyed this thread everytime it's caught my eye. Since I'm finally posting to it I'll be subscribed and see when it gets new replies.
Didn't get to Beaver Springs but Rob will be going to Bowling Green, although he won't be able to take the car...as much as he would like too.
Will be at Thompson in September .
