Jeff That Piped Out Tiki DEck Is Way SICK! :O
I Challenged Myself this Friday (yesterday I had to edit the photos this morning lol) ... to see how quick I could lay down an acrylic painting from start to finish ...
My Target was 2 hours & it ended up taking 5 hrs (with a Supper-Break )
Here's the Play by Play ...
1st Materials ...
12" x 12" plywood & assorted junk ...
Next I Lay down a Gradient Background
Then I grabbed a couple of ratty old mags for inspiration
& did a pretty ugly outline =P
Starting to shape it out now ...
I have a good idea of where I'm going with it now
Added a border & still shaping it out ...
Color Under Painting ...
Detailing It Out ...
You'll noticed the setting of the pictures changes twice ... I was being chased by the sun ... wet acrylic no-like sun =P
I still may detail the suspension more & throw a Bonneville Paint job on dis Bomb before I top-coat it
Have A Good One H.A.M.B.'ers
Very Cool!,...a bit like Exner's "Mercer".
Hey Rick, love the play by play. You still suck though.....Ha,ha.
You really need to repost for these guys when you clear it, makes things so much more dimensional to me.
