Looks like it is going 100 mph sitting still with the slanted B posts....looking good! I attended a Chop Class put on by @Pinstriper40 last year and we did almost the exact same chop on the car he brought to the class. It only took 17 guys and one lady chopper (she was a go-getter!) 3 days to get to where you are though.....so hurry up! ;)

  10. Maybe he likes the rust.
    I applaud his efforts regardless.

I like the idea so far but was hoping the bumpers would be chromed. I think I like the chop but its a bit hazy in there. Keep posting .
I really dont think a flip front is appropriate for a custom .

This guy is posting other threads about his body and paint projects. He's supposed to know better? But now he shows us his proud work of slathering Bondo over a rusty body?

Just an FYI Mr. Old32, filler should be applied over clean metal or fresh epoxy primer. Anything over rust will be falling off in a short time.

  15. On many build threads people comment that they are speechless. In this case I am also speechless, but not in a good way.

From what I can see the patches on the sail panels and above the rear rear window opening were not welded solid before a heaping-helping of bondo was applied. So far the quality of this guy's work is grounds for having his tool privileges permanently revoked

over the last few years there's been a whole lotta projects started on here with the disclaimer[ i'm building this like a sixteen year old would back in the day] and i can't remember any of them actually built like a sixteen year old would have,[way to nice]. now someone has actually gone and done it and you run him off.

Glad im not the only one confused by bondo over rust. Heck, I wont even weld over rust, or layer patch panels like that.

Guess now i understand a little more how old32 is able to crank out so many cars

  23. With the knowledge available on this site all he has to do is search for how do do it the right way. Something that was not available when I was learning but I learned to do it the right way from the older gentlemen that pursued their life's ambition to do a job the right way the first time. If he takes these comments on this post as constructive criticism and works to correct his misgivings, GREAT. We have taught another person and helped him to do something the right way and not "Just do it". Look at the skills demonstrated here by some members compared to what the pictures depict. He has not even tried to accomplish any quality of work and demonstrates a lack of ability to dedicate any time to improving his limited skills. I at least try and emulate some of the work by masters demonstrated here. I do not posses the skills to revive a crashed stretched cracked fender but I admire the abilities of some and their willingness to share their masterful manipulation of metal. Not a sculptor if bondo.

    .

The problem is that young guys will see your work ( you are a “pro” right?) and think that’s the correct way to do it. You need to let everyone know you are just creating a sculpture, not a car that lasts.
