Ryan, I knew you had some sort of lifter problem a few weeks back.....looks like a good way to "fix" it.
my first intro to a full house flathead, in my buddy's full fender deuce roadster. Man was that a ride. Had lakes gears, 3.54 rear 25tooth lincolns, 70 mph in low 90 in second then just keep pullin in high. bak'n '56.
Hey Ryan, if you get done a little early could you do up an 8ba flatty for me? Mine is a little tired. Thanks ,Jeff
Did that thing have an 8BA or Merc crank in it? Rods look like they did not have the floating shared bearings in them unless they are pulled out...hard to tell from the pics though. If not, are you planning on running a 4" crank?
4" Merc crank was in it... You'll have to wait and see what's going back in it... there has been some crank drama.
There's nothing like a little crank drama to spice things up: Can the guys get the job done?........ Does the mill really have alternator envy?.........Will Ryan put the 4" back in?..........Find out the answers to these questions and more on the next episode of "As The Crank Turns"
...not to get side tracked here, but Vern's place has got to be cool as hell. You will also like a short trip to Russian River Brewery in down town santa rosa! The beer is as sweet as your finished flat head.....you should get a victory beer there for sure once your build is done......jealous
Vern does AWESOME work!!! he built mine for my 49 F1 truck and it is sweet!!! looks great and runs great!!!
