you beat me to it, I had a 56 ford and after months looking for the meteor grill I found 1 and bought it but sold the car before I got to put it in, so its still in my basement waiting for me to buy another 56

I always hold out hope that maybe someone might reproduce that grille.

Actually, a tri color 56 Meteor Crown is one amazing car. They make the Fords look like last night's leftovers...

I agree on that '57 DeSoto bumper/grille, beautiful setup on a Desoto or swapped onto other late 50's cars, especially 58 and 59 Fords.

I've also seen some nice stuff done with 55-56 Dodge split grilles and 55-56 Plymouth grille bars.

Really surprised but I don't think I ever saw a 51-52 Plymouth grille with extra teeth added to it. Seems like it would be a natural.

'50 & '51 Studebaker bullet noses are pretty cool.

As well as '54's with the egg crate inserts.

I am partial to the 57 Vette grill as well but like it best in other rides.

Has anyone used a '59 Continental grill on anything? I'd love to see it on an early 50s Lincoln.

Haha, can't blame you. I love Buicks, but the grill puts it over the top as one of my favorites.

Most of the grilles mentioned are great. They can be installed in different cars and look fantastic. But the one pictured here is my personal favorite.
As a kid I remember seeing one install in a 58 Ford in Rod & Custom (I think) magazine. Fit that car's lines perfectly.

Owned one in the mid-60's. Blue/white w/black stripe. I was kinda out of step driving it. Everyone had muscle cars and here I am driving this car w/the Batmobile grille in it. I didn't care, I loved that car.

I'm famous! Sold the car, kept the grille. Can't get a pic to upload . But the 54 Pontiac grille needed to be trimmed on the ends to fit my 55 Olds. I used the Olds grille mounts in their original locations for the Pontiac grille. Very easy to do.

What about the 54 Buick grill? It's one of the best in my opinion.

I'm a fan of the '53 Chevy and '53 ford. Never seen anyone use a 53 ford on anything other than the body style it came in though.

Since my 51' has a glass nose and I didn't want the glass work I built a replica 49' grill to occupy the 51' grill space..
