Mark, nice work covering this event. Unfortunately I was striping g wallpaper at my sons house this morning and didn’t make it there until about 2 and the crowd had diminished

Nonetheless a couple of moon valve covers followed me home.

Just a few shots I took:

Fantastic coverage. Looks like a great time. Seems that the 34 Chevy Coupes were giving the 34 Ford Coupes a challenge. Must have been a dozen or so. Pretty cool to see that many.

  10. Thanks for the pictures, so many to look at. Often, it's difficult to find a photo opportunity between spectators. You obviously put time and effort into your shots.
Although the Nomad pulled me in, the 4x4 '66 Chevy truck is fun to look at. Brings back memories and pristine examples are rare.

That is Dave50 on hamb. Car was built in Cal, nobody is sure on just how far back, but at least the late 50s with the Olds and Hydramatic.

He bought it in Cal, from the long, long time owner who put the Olds in many decades ago. That guy parked it in his garage in the late 60s when his son Jake passed away, and never drove it again. Paint is original from "the day".

    it's F'n FAST.

Cool. The spring in front is always a give away to an old time build, but there are a bunch of other cues, like the firewall mc, the channel, the bobbed rear fenders, etc. That's a killer lookin mo-sheen, and I bet it's fast. NOBODY has the balls to build a car like that anymore.

Dave's is not "spring ahead".. It has TWO original Ford front crossmembers.

did you miss the 5th photo in post one on page one? That is his friend Jon, also from Mass, who built the purple one, also Early Olds. It is a new build/(from an old rod body), that made it's Debut at the Syracuse, NY Nats in 2017. Jon shown here facing towards our view behind the coupe, and I think that is Dave50 on the far right.

The rad location fooled me. Yep, I saw the purple one. Killer car also. Do you know everyone in the east with an Olds powered Deuce, haha.

Love the patina on this, No disrespect to the builder but something a little closer to stock would have done it more for me. (Now, What is it?:D)

  30. Is it just me or was there an unusually large amount of 33-34 Fords there this year?
This one did it for me. Looked like it just time traveled from 1956
