Yes it is all there. The rear wheel openings were flared and radiused huge. I fixed that and it has a flatty and 39 trans and torque tube again. I am putting it back to its original configuration.

Thanks for these replies, this stuff is always interesting to me. To get a car like this one, in this condition, not very likely for most of us. So, clean up the surface and high build primer? Or more?

I was digging around on the Petersen archives and found some pics of the dream rod that I have never seen before. Bob Larivee told me that Cushenbery painted it blue, but before it was finished Larivee told him he didn't like the blue so it was changed to the desert sand pearl. I did find a small amount of blue paint in the package tray area when I restored it. I know that these are black and white photos, but you can tell they were taken when it was blue

didn't really start with a car. the frame is from a 52 Jowett Jupiter, the front fenders and doors are cut down 1960 pontiac, the roof and windshield is Studebaker, rear window is from a 57 Borgward isabella town sedan. the engine is a 289 hipo ford with a t10 4 speed, most of the body was hand made sheet metal over a conduit skeleton

I took a picture of that car when it was at a car show in Lancaster, Pa. back in the early 60's.

I almost bought a model kit of that car today but passed on it. Kit was pretty lame as far as details go. SOmewhere along the way it got redesigned a bit and renamed..... yes it is the original Dream Rod kit with some changes.

Yup, the dream rod got changed into the tiger shark in about 1966.. It was the tiger shark when I bought it. The guy I bought it from said "you can't turn that back into the dream rod, that's impossible"
