This has probably been posted before, but for "Definitive Mild Customs", this would be hard to top!
There were many Kustom Kings, but for mild customs, Watson stands alone!

    YIKES

  9. Well, after seeing that T Bird, I had to come back to "mild custom" again. Here is my 56 Chevy. It might not even be considered a mild custom but that was my intention in building it, not too much change, just clean up the details.

Thanks Sancho, the only other picture that I've seen of that car is the one Tattooed on the kids arm!! A good likeness, but not as nice as the real thing, LOL.

Nice job touching up the "patina" around the taillights...

Skinny white walls and lower it and it’d be perfect to me

  14. I used to have wide whites and chrome wheels on it but it looked odd. So someone offered me those chrome wires with good tires for 300 bucks and I couldn't turn it down since the tires alone were worth that.
It has lowered front springs on it but it didn't lower it the 2" it was supposed to. I bought new rear springs but it set up too high so I put the original springs back under it. I agree, it needs to come down some more, but I have lost interest in it and will leave it as it is.

Damn I wish I could find a deal like that on those wire wheels but some lowering blocks and either cut the springs or dropped spindles and you’ll fall right back in love. Lol

This one looks just like the cover art of an AMT Model kit, c. 1960!
    I love the mirrors (stock).

My under construction 51 Ford. All of the customization so far has been done by Jeff Myers of Premier Body & Paint in Arkansas City, KS. The car is currently down with a leaky master cylinder, I’m hoping to take it to the Lead Ain’t Dead show in Dewey, OK in September.

52 Chevy headlight rings and frenched headlights, mid 50’s Holden FJ grille from Australia and a custom surround built by Jeff. Still a long way to go but it’s a nice start.
