Yeah, it needs paint (and it will get it) but I'm getting pretty happy with how this thing sits. It drives pretty nice but I'll replace the rear springs with some stiffer ones to keep the driveshaft off the floor. It barely touches on the biggest dips. I will soon shave the door handles so it can really be called a custom. :)

Rare, too. I don't know the production figures, but it seems they built very few coupes (with the short quarter window) in '54, and that was their final year.

Carry on, but please, keep 'em mild! (i.e., sectioned Shoebox Ford, Don Boeke's chopped yellow Lincoln, etc.)
Heck, IMHO, even Ina Mae Overman's Lincoln's "overhang" is a bit of a "stretch" (pun intended :D ) to truly be called "Mild". But then again, I grew up when "Semi-Customs" were the order of the day.

Now, THIS is what I'd call a "MILD CUSTOM".

Not a problem. Some of us don't have the experience to catch mods that subtle like those two and a few others. The easy solution is just to post all I find in the customs section to avoid conflicts like these.
