Features The Definitive "MILD CUSTOM" Photo Thread....

  1. "Overrider" is another term for bumper-guard. His '56 had these originally, he has replaced them with the smoother guards from a '55 front bumper.

  3. Had a cut on my hand..did some longboarding out there...3 days later I had a golf ball size bump near the middle of my arm...found out it’s one of the most polluted breaks in So Cal..antibiotics took care of it and I never went back in the water there

The roof of this T-bird was one of the last things Watson painted. The clear was cracking so bad, last year the owner had Winfeild try and preserve it. Unfortunately it didn't work and started cracking again.

I'm sure this '57 Ford has been posted before, but what knocks me out (in addition to the '58 hood) is the grille.
While it may appear too new and high-tech for a period build, it actually originated in a '58 Olds (or two). Slick!

New to the HAMB, this is easily my favorite thread. Love digging through all these pages. Below is Ginger, she's a 63.5 500 XL, 390 auto.

Looks low...but not at all slow. She would look right at home on high-banked Asphalt! I like it

    Sold at BJ in 2002.
Chomed Merc lights are a novel touch...look great! ('55 Olds-ish.) Who knew?

    Here's another "Mild, but wild".
'59 Olds was practically brand new!

John North's "White Pearl", customized when new in 1957 (un-restored).
Once owned by singer Gene Pitney.
    Great mild custom!

    "Ebony and Ivory."

For counterpoint....I never get tired of Dave Jenkins' Chevy.
Also customized when new; and, after many versions, now at its best!

My good friend, Ron Brown, of Elizabeth, ColoRODo, built that retractable, started with a pile of junk and had the car on the road within two years. What you may not know is those turn signals alongside the headlights are Harley Davidson and the engine is a 460" Lincoln...

Here's another shot of it and below that one is his current ride-a '56 Cadillac kustom, along with the rest of "The Caddy Boys" of Denver, ColoRODo...

  23. Thanks. I guess this with a Hemi or Caddy mill should do the trick.
