What is this thing? Looks like a 49-52 Chevy coupe roof on a '50 Plymouth maybe? I would really like to know what and how this was done. It looks really good.
It’s a Plymouth...
It's a Plymouth but it appears to have a GM roof. A radical kustom disguised as a mild kustom...
Nope, just a flattering angle of a stock Plymouth coupe roof.
Nope, I read somewhere on the HAMB that it does have a Chevy roof. I'm sure someone will chime in with the info.
Here's both pictures together
Here is his Instagram
50 Plymouth, Chevy roof(slightly chopped), Rear fenders are longer(from a 1950 Chrysler). Plymouth skirts.
Those photos help explain my confusion: He kept the Plymouth windshield and forward portion of the roof!
@straykatkustoms posted this rear quarter view over on the "Kustom Blues" thread.
What a great change!!!

That is beautifully executed, very well done. Builder did an excellent job. I'm impressed with how well the two roofs melded together, looks like the width was just right.
And the boxy Mopar roof is (for good or bad) such an iconic aspect of that design. The early '50s Chevy rear roof almost pushes it to look like a '53-4 Chevy from that angle.
Maybe one of the Photoshop guys should do a Chev with a Plymouth roof.
