Fkn love it
the kid that works for me, his 63 t-bird.
my 63 marauder
Nicely put Kirk!...perhaps it will encourage a few to look up the definition of "mild custom"...
Awesome, I have a pic of this exact car with wide whites and hubcaps as my comp backround right now lol
I'm well aware of the definition of "mild," (if those comments were directed at me), but the OP didn't seem to mind when I put in a few in my earlier post ...after all, he asked for more pics when I asked if he wanted to see more (post #319). Every one of these cars were built by each individual owner, keeping in mind the OP's comment of "the guy who built that car down the block"...
So, with that in mind, here's more ColoRODo Kustoms, and not one of 'em chopped:
Jeff Hansens '51 Merc
Charlie Mahwinney's '57 Ford (sadly Charlie is now deceased, but he found out this Ranch-a-roo was an old "show" car back in the early '60's...minus this paint job, of course).
Jim Smith's '49 Buick
Rich Cordova's '60 Cadillac
Richard Dix '53 Chevy
Harry Truit's '52 DeSoto
I'm sure I've got a few more on discs, I'll see if I can find 'em...
Yep it's been mentioned on this thread a couple of times. Pat Ganahl's deffinition pretty much sums it up. Although in indoor type shows it's broken down even further Conservative, Mild, Semi, Full & Radical Custom classes. I think for the purposes of this thread anything other than a chopped, channelled or sectioned car is apropriate. Mild customs are my favorite style, espescially a late 50s early 60s cruiser style.
Keep the pics comin' StudeDude. Gotta be somethin' in the water there! Very cool stuff.
I'll get in on this.
I'm almost done, just need to figure out a grille, lower the front end a bit and put the stainless back on.
^54 Meteor grill would be cool. Nice job.
That's not a bad idea greezeball. Know of any for sale?
Not off hand I can check around though. I am quite a distance from you.
Here's what one looks like
BTTT! Let's see more! I'll have update shots of mine in about 10 days.
Is she getting abit of a spring makeover ?
Yep yep! Some frenched head lights, filled gas door and some top secret custom taillights.
Auyobodyed im a big time fan of your Marauder, and i think you should take a few more pics at diffrent angles and post'em up!
Then what about your son's Rambler? that thing showed ons of potential abut then the build thread stopped.......
Love your style dude.
^ I'll second that.
Yeah....love that grille. I don't really see too many of them floating around down here. If you hear of any, keep me posted.
So, I didn't check this thread in a few days but I'd have to say Eryk wins. Sorry everyone
I won't lie, this Olds stirs feelings deep inside of me that no sane man should ever feel for an automobile. I have added this photo to the growing 'porn' folder I have of this car and made it my new desktop image here at work haha.
Great, now I can't stand up for a few minutes...
This is STUNNING ! One of my favorite cars on this thread.Very clean and I love the color.
hey, thanks for the kind words man. i'm getting ready to take her outta hibernation and clean her up, and i promise i'll take more pics. slow going on the kids rambler, we had a busy winter here with all the snow and stuff, but we're almost done with the body work, just a couple of more panels to go! once all the sheet metal is back on it i'll post up some more pics of that car too!! this thread rocks, some nice stuff showing up on these pages.
Pretty hard to find up here now too...best bet would be someone out west, Alberta Manitob or Saskatchewan pretty rust free tin out there relatively speaking ...
Cool ! Looking forward to seeing some pics!
Agreed 100% i'm a big fan of the stance on this one.
my Favorite style of Kustom is a nice clean classic mild. Its the most affordable and they can be total works of art.
wow wow wow
Just a few I stole from the LBCC picnic thread.
Here's some random shots I have.
I love this rod and kulture wagon
