Wahoo!! I got Dan Post box set today… I hadn’t had a chance to look it over but first glance it is awesome. Noting but high quality and in typical Rodder’s Journal style…….. I’ve bid on the original issues before on eBay but have always backed out because of how high they were going for. So I’ve not seen the issues before. Tonight I’m taking the phone off the hook and I will be checking them out…… Happy Trails, Mick
Drove over to the RJ offices to pick up a set this afternoon. They are down to their last fifty of the numbered sets. I got #1957 by random chance. Very nice packaging!
I got mine yesterday, I learned a lot! Dan Post advised people to build "tasteful" customs, then designed some of the ugliest cars ever. Beauties and beasts in one publication. I saw a picture of Nick Matranga I'd never seen before, and showed my wife, she said "that's where they got the idea of Fonzie". Fonzie couldn't shine Matranga's shoes. Rodders Journal did a great job, The books are absolutely beautiful. What will they think of next?
Just got a set that I did not know I was getting and all I can say is if you are a Custom car lover buy a set they are fucking rad.
