Hot Rods THE CONFUSED 32-34 PICKUP IS FINALLY FINISHED

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Feb 28, 2017.

  1. This is my pal Dave's pickup and his work has been posted in the past,he was very instrumental in helping me build my 32 pickup and also Steve's 32 pickup.

Dave decided he wanted to build a 32 pickup when we were building mine and located a cab but it turned out to be a 34 cab, everything else is Deuce, hence the moniker "Confused 32-34 pickup"

For those who haven't followed the build it's been almost 10 years in the making with many ups and downs but that's in the past.

This truck is a beauty from any angle past.
Without further ado - photos! HRP

sure is mighty purdy! sounds like the tale of many projects that end being much more involved than ever thought possible in the beginning - but, as you say , that is all in the past and the present is beautiful

    Excellent. And a sore spot...
1979, I found a complete '33 pickup, cab was nice.
I had a '32 frame, fenders were '32, (donated by 2 friends) ready to put together on a nice Turlock '32 frame!
Some Deuce guys ("Bay Area Rdstr" members) dropped by the shop and condemned the whole project...
I shelved it, sold it off. Wish I'd kept it, but these dorks were tight with some of my customers.
Should have given them my 'Pugilistic response'.

  25. Mike, there don't seem to be as many Deuce Snobs around as in years past,I know all the guys that participate in The All Deuce Run are pretty easy going and everyone is welcome.

I doubt very seriously anyone is gonna bitch about the extra beltline. HRP
