I really want to thank you for taking the time to document this all very well. To me it says a lot about the builder.

Excellent work! I've seen a few shops who claim to do this type of work for a living do much worse! Thanks for taking the time to document it all! Definately looking forward to seeing the car finished.

Really nice work. I particularly like your "caveman corners" for detailing the windows around the B pillar.

    Slow progress on the car.
I'm doing my least favorite thing while building a car, BODYWORK, freaking hate it but I cant pay anybody to do it.

Here is the first round of primer.
I just partially shot the car with some poly primer, to re-assure myself that I'm on the right track, before I continue on the rest of the car.
BTW, the primer is still wet in the pics, thats why it's so shiny :D

awesome chris, did you just weld the rear tops from where you chiseled off the joint and then just shape to a point or radius the top. i cant really tell from the pics. but it looks awesome.

I welded that seem and shaped it slightly to a point with a grinder, and yes there is a little bit filler also.

Very nice, sir. I too am on the "born to be mild" kick right now with the 50 I'm putting together. Mine is a coupe and i've been telling myself no no no.... tonight after seeing this the 1st time round i'm secong guessing. I've never tried the chisel for the quarter seam... nice one. ? for you if you will... how many inches have you lowered the rear (susp.)? I'm 5" down with no blocks and looking at 1/4" to the stock bump stop (2" tall). you put in a big notch... will you need to tunnel as well? great looking roof.

  29. I think it looks really great,Chris! SMOOOOOOOTH!
