No I haven't died or been incarcerated. I have just been super busy at work and have had no time for car stuff.

Here is a link that went live today. It made my Good Friday even better.

Also, as of last night the axle is back under the car and the first drive is expected soon - very soon!!! :D:D:D

  11. Does anyone have a good shot of the open trunk and the tank that Josh painted? Even a pix outside of the car would be fine? Thanks.

  12. Here is the best pic I have of the tank Mark. Josh did a hell of a job on it.

Sorry for the small pic but I'm on vacation and posting from my phone.

    It's alive!!!

I haven't posted much progress on the coupe lately as I have been very busy at work and home.

Jo has been hard at it getting the car road ready. He has fabbed up the removeable headlights and they look great.

He has also getting the car sorted out and ready for a road trip. I'm planning to drive the car from Michigan out to the Vintage Torque Fest next month. I can't wait!

I'll try to post some more updates and better pics soon.

With the weather improving here, Jo had the coupe out for a test drive late last week after replacing a defective brake master cylinder that frustrated his efforts to bleed the brakes. I grabbed a few pix as he rolled down the street.

    Awesome! Thanks for posting rooman.

She looks a little naked without the hood and wheel discs - but still tough-as-nails.

Jo is busy dialing her in and she should be ready to make the trip to the Torque Fest in a few weeks.

that thing looks so tough! it's got a great broad-shoulders stance. i love the all black palette, too.

kick ass, Dave. can't wait to read about your road trip.

Nice to see some test run, allmost there....

Thanks guys. I'm getting excited to get behind the wheel and burn some gas.

As I mentioned earlier, Jo has been working hard to getting the car sorted.
We have had a few hic-ups with minor things, when combined with poor weather, have prevented us from getting many miles on the car.

So far we have fought a defective master cylinder, a bad temp gauge sending unit, a malfunctioning oil pressure guage and a bad bearing in the quick change. Everytime we get one thing fixed it rains for a few days. Then road test only to find another minor bug to be worked out.

At this point all of the above should be sorted out by tomorrow. The forecast is for more rain, so who knows when Jo can get more miles on her.

I must say all the design and fabrication seem to be spot on. The initial report are that the torsion bar suspension rides/handles awesome and the nailhead runs like a raped ape.

    I'm stoked!!!

It's so good to see it at the pointy end, and getting some miles under it's belt. you must be busting to get behind the wheel!
