Just study the striping alone on that Chev! People forget Jeffries could rival Dutch in striping and Roth in monster shirts. I'm guessing the color photo was before the infamous fire?
I read that the 56 narrowly escaped the Barris shop fire: Story goes that Jeffries was eating in a diner across the street and saw the smoke. He called the fire dept. and tried to get any cars he could out. His girlfriends 56 Chevy just happened to be the car closest to the door.
Kind of like “seaweed” flames....not my cup of tea but well executed. However when I first looked it appeared to be giant drips rather than flames.
