So cool but I’m glad I didn’t see the ad. I need another project like another hole in my head. I surely would’ve bought it! Thank you for posting. Dan
If I can fit in a T (and you fit in Big Joe Art's), you can fit in that! Yes, that's my Blue knee poking out. Also hope you are able to get more updates on it, but they are still out there!
“Fitting” in Joeys T is sorta how you can “fit” in your toddlers stroller. Is your ass in the seat? Yes Is some of your body in the vehicle? Yes that being said I’ve also been looking at T roadsters all week lol
@Pocket Nick Ignore the wood, I did the fur as a stopgap until I get serious on doing the body. Having too much fun, and it was a cheap tryout of wild '60s style. 2x4 under the front and back edges, lower cushion from the back seat of an OT car, with the middle sectioned out. $40 at the yard. Fits snug as you can see with it popping up in the middle. After sitting in it some, it stays down. Has the right curves for the back corners and firm enough to not bottom out over bumps. Without the 2x4, you will bottom out. Yes, I slouch, but it's pretty good.
Sorry for the poor quality photo ... but this "T" was part of the Ramblers club display at the 1952 National (Oakland) Roadster Show:
Truly a neat ride. Those are not stock Model "T" fenders..sorry. The fronts look like trailer fenders. The rear look a lot like modified 35-36 Ford Spare tire covers.
Here's how a 6'6" guy fits in a Diablo. Ya gotta scooch down. I'm not this bad, but saw this and had to share! My shoulders are a few inches higher than my knees. EDIT: BTW, he did drive another earlier car of the same brand. He REALLY didn't fit in it!
This is a photo of my late friend & fellow Hamber Alex, he looked like a Neanderthal and I wish I had a photo of the time I road with him to a show 20 miles away, the old 20 pound's of carp in a 2 pound bag comes to mind. The trackster was a tight fit and he almost wore it but he traveled, he drove that little car 276 miles to Myrtle Beach and 2 days later drove it back home, Roadster guys are like the old hardtail Harley guys, they just endeavor to persevere. And to top it off this lil' hot rod has 3 pedals. HRP
