I like to start them young, he is 13 and been underfoot since before he could walk in the shop. We found it luckily in pretty good shape.

It is a 41 Hudson pickup. The body is nice.

He is pumped to say the least.

WOW, I'd be pumped too. A very nice score. What is the story behind it and how did you come across it?

I have built many Hudson pick-ups. I would be glad to be of service if you have any questions.

Found it by just talking to the man that owned it. It's been parked since 1975.

Will get pics as we get it out and wash it off.

I'm jealous. Used to be two in Abilene, they never moved, and I always wanted one. One day they were gone, and that was that. Tell the boy congrats.

That is awesome! I got a 65 mustang for my 13th from my Grandpa. 23 years later I still have it.

  17. I thought I was pretty cool for having bought my 57 Fargo at 13, but a Hudson... Very cool!! Old cars kept me out of trouble, a great thing for him to be involved in, good for him.

Got my first car when I was 13 too. A 1959 Fiat with 35,000 miles on it. Cost me all of $35.00.

Now they are making clones of it.

Would have rather had a pick up like yours.

Eager to see it washed and hear more about it.

Congrats to father and son on this one...............

  22. have a soft spot for those hudson(s)
