One of the best shots so far D................
Had a great race at Eagle Field! The Doll ran the best is has run in awhile! Only problem was the shifting linkage which didn't let me shift into second, but we got it fixed and went out there and it ran GREAT!

Nice Pics Dimitri ,Watched Tim's Vids looked like you guys are haveing fun out there, Tim Jones
Here is my first run, did well. When I shifted into 2nd it hesitated... a foreshadow of it not working on the second run.

Great time for sure!
AWESOME car, Thanks "D" for all your Support!
I wondered. Exactly the same wheelbase as mine.
very nice car!
The sight and sound is enough to where if I squint, I can imagen that its Irwindale '69 or '70; the last time I saw the car run. Very nice effort on all involved.
It was a great run! We ran our buddy Don Edward with his RED 4 banger tempest. It used to run a flathead v8 and the last time the Doll ran his car was mid 70's!
looks like you were still getting some traction there D.............
Great video , I must of missed it the other day, Tim Jones
Hey Dimitri, What does it run in the 1/8? I have a friend that has about the same FED that I built the flathead for. We do run a manual transmission out of an old econoline. I guess I just want to know if we are even close. Here is a link to a video a guy shot with his phone at an 1/8 mile dragstrip here in southern Indiana.
That video has all the right sounds to it! Sounds like listening to one of those old "SOUNDS OF THE DRAGS" LPs.
Went to Mooneyes Christmas Party and luckily got one run in! Lots of oil downs, and a few crashes put a damper on everything.... but the one run we did get was a nice strong run, felt real good!
Lookin good D, sounds good too.....
Nice run Dimtri , Tim Jones
Well... we had a great first day at Eagle Field this year. Raced a lot of flatheads, and a lot of close races... but all good things must come to an end I suppose...
On our last run I was running "Roseville Carl" here on the Hamb and it was a FANTASTIC run all the way until the finish line... when it chucked a rod out the side of the oil pan... woops! This week I'll tear the engine down but it looks like we lost a couple rods, a few pistons, and the cam. Not sure how the crank is but I'm sure it aint pretty...
I guess now we have an excuse to build a bigger motor!

We pulled the head off at Eagle, here is a picture of one of the pistons, that is now at an angle...
Some good news though. My dad and I made wood grips for the steering wheel! They look great and worked out real good this weekend!
Sorry to hear about the motor, nice work on the hand grips , what type of wood did you use , Tim Jones
