Actually I just pay attention to what is posted and if I have made a comment on a post that usually sticks in my mind. I specifically remembered the Charlie Smith shot because his son Todd is a friend of mine. And I was wrong in saying that you last posted it here in November of 2017 as you also posted it again on December 20 of the same year--just a month later (and that did take a google search. ;)) For me to go through all of your posts would be way too much work and time.

LB keep up the good work, no idea how you come up with all these pics even if it is once or twice they appear.

Personally, I think most of us are at the age we can't remember shit from last week. LB, just keep posting, it is appreciated. And anyone that adds comments is appreciated too, at least by me, as I live on the right coast and only saw these cars in magazines.

Unfortunately I didn't join the H.A.M.B. until 2018 so I would have missed any posts in 2017.
EVERYONE here has so much information to offer so I am appreciative of all the folks that post.
And like @noboD, I can't remember what I had for breakfast let alone something posted last year,:)

  6. I can't remember what I was going to say . Oh yea, hey LB. Let's get back to the altered.;)

Dave Orr at Edgewater in the Model A that his dad purchased in 1959. Three generations of the Orr family (all Daves) raced this car which in the track shot has injected hemi power. The second photo shows it with Mopar wedge power that followed the Oldsmobile that Dave Sr put in the car originally. Read more about the Orrs and the car here:

George and Joe Brazee were the brothers but Ziggy Sabis was the one who partnered with George to build this car which was a standout at Dover and other east coast tracks. It even made a trip to the Nats in Indy as well. After the Crosley was sold to Fred Harrison George built a junior fuel dragster that he raced until retiring from the sport. George passed away in April of last year at the age of 83.

Photos of the Green Weenie from the Hot rod link above. According to the article it was a handful to drive, looped and crashed a few times.

Those are passenger car seat belts to limit front axle travel LOL

    So...someone removed the top (Mudrunner).
    Then...
Someone "perfectly" replaced the top (if the "present day" picture is to be believed)..?
    Mmmm...

Speaking of broken off header tubes (past posts), I wonder how long the above tubes lasted on that "W" motor, way out there vibrating in the breeze with no support ?
