Always wanted to build a blown Chrysler powered Fiat for the street but steel bodies have always been more than I was willing to pay.

I mentioned this in my profile but I might as well give myself another
verbal kick in the rear. In 1967 three of us teens ran across a Topolino
in what we thought was a deserted barn. Turned out there actually was
an owner and he offered us the complete car for $75.00. None of us had
access to a garage to tear it down in, so being realistic about things, we
passed on it. I say this about myself, I live but never seem to learn.

If you posted it to YouTube you should be able to post a link here. Don't ask me how, I'm probably older and less computer savvy than you! :D

I got there about 9:30am and the place was pretty full. I had to park about 1/2 mile away, at the far end of the circle track grand stands.

Lots of race cars, lots of Cackle cars. Saw a coupla friends, good day all around.

I know the builder of that car, the flathead-sidewinder.
It's a recreation of his Dad's old car.
It belongs to the same guy that owns this car. Note the height...Rick is 6'3" tall !

    "Jackson Thomas Goodell"
I wonder if that was his full name or a three-man team?

I'm really glad that LB posted the pic. The early fuel altered was just so great to watch. Short wheelbase, simple frames, and a boatload of power with in/out boxes. Strong but primitive. Chevy engines with iron heads, iron cranks, hemi engines were the same. No engine tear down between rounds, just change oil and maybe run the valves, replace the water in the block. Tire technology was just coming around...
    ah, how great was yesteryear.
