  2. For years I just hated Fridays. Now, well, I don't.

Gary, you're on to something with that truck. Always enjoy your inventiveness, and this could allow you to take it in a whole new direction...

    All others, well, THANKS.

striped a propane tank for Hot Rod's Pinstripe Reunion auction. I'm not one of the stripers that will be there, but he asked me to do something, so this is my contribution. Hope ya'll like it:

I just finished up this poster for a good friend of mine. He and his brother have been busting their ass trying to resurrect the old Unity Dirt Track here in Maine. Last Spring it was an overgrown field, but by the Fall you could take a lap. He's really trying to recreate the 50's and is doing his best to attract other vintage racers to his cause and is planning a big meeting tomorrow afternoon to do just that. Last week he gave me a "poster" he created with Microsoft Word and I nearly wept it was so fugly. He doesn't know I've appointed myself as his art and marketing director, but I think he's going to dig this a lot. Can't wait to see his face and thought I would share with you guys too. It's all his wording verbatim ... just gussied up a bit.

    Great show this week guys.

  24. Please excuse the poor image quality folks- I'll try to revisit this one as I suspect it has legs as a concept (G.P; gather the shapers ! )
Hudson, Marmon or Buick or even a rowdy overdriven overhead V8..

I dig it! There is a pretty large group of vintage racers up in Santa Rosa area that put on a pretty good show..lotta nice cars but more of a vintage racing/gentleman racing deal. Cool poster!

vntodd... Welcome to the Art Show!
That's really good! I hope to see more of your pencil work REAL SOON!

  29. James ... very nice work!

I especially like any artwork that includes a '57-'58 Chrysler 300C-300D! ... I took several photographs of an old girlfriend posed almost exactly like that our the hood our of old Raven Black 300C Coupe.

  30. Not my work ... but here's a Kent Bash painting of our old Raven Black 1957 Chrysler 300C Coupe:

A cropped version of the painting appeared on the cover of the January 1993 issue of Fantasy&ScienceFiction magazine:

    F&SF cover.jpg

... for an award winning story by Jack Cady, entitled "The Night We Buried Road Dog".
