Bitchin. Love that color. Something about 200s's on a 55 sedan that never gets old. Taillight treatment and the pipe bumper is actually pretty cool. It grows on ya the more you look at it.

It is torn apart at the moment, but the color, rear bumper and the molded in rear body and custom tailight lens all seem to match. Did this car have an original floor pan in it or aluminum? My car came from Ohio before it made it's way to me.

This is Northern Colorado's Lloyd Fahrenbruch's car and in the late 60's it was flat towed to tracks all over Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and Utah. It's my understanding Lloyd did very well with this car and during the week he would bring it to the gas station where my brother worked for tuning and what not for racing the next weekend.

No it doesn't. I didn't realize that was a second set of lights. Looking on my phone screen they looked like pinstriping. I guess the hunt continues for any history on mine

  12. It's good that you're so far from PA. So I don't buy that '55 from you!

Way cool. Even has the tow hubs on it in the pic. Would love to hear this one survived the sands of time and is sitting in a garage somewhere looking just like that photo. One can hope....

Me too Kevin but I've only been able to trace to the next owner (Mike) who said he owned into the mid-70's and then it was sold out of state. Mike told a funny story that one time they flat towed it all the way to SLC Utah for a race only to find out the race was the weekend before. He laughed and said they wished they had the internet back then. Here's a couple of more early shots of it when Lloyd owned before he had changed the scoop and had it lettered.

And then here it is running against Bob Corbett's yellow altered.

My 55 was a 150 and I added the 210 trim when we built it in 2000. It was a frame off full build and I just finished an LS3 swap. Am I allowed to continue?

    Again, welcome.
As universal as those engines have become they just aren't Kosher around here, so if you can dance around that issue we'd love to see more of your 55.

I haven't. Lol. I have been disassembling it. I did get a full pan ordered. When it gets here I will get it put in and swapped onto the new frame.
