OMG...another option: rounded rollbar = west coast, square rollbar = east coast (if it matters....) although I don't feel a 'competition vibe' as yet...

    I doubt it'll get a permanent rollbar.
More because it just won't help if anything happens that anything else..

bgbdlinc, you're right. Not much GO yet, hahaha.

Shorter tires for sure, but the stance looks pretty spot on already, I think a dropped axle would kill it! Love seeing progress on this one.

Thanks man. We need to see more of yours!

It needs some 5.00 x 16" fronts. The ones that are on it now were just for mock up anyway.
They're pretty checked and cracked, But are super cool "Canuck" tires.

Isky's T was built really early.
It has a different stance, proportion, wheelbase.. ect.
    It's a 1940s Gow Job / HopUp / HotRod.

So, it's not really the look I'm going for.

I'm going for a later 50's look for the most part.

I think only that bottom one with the red wheels could be called a t-bucket out of this group of early T HotRods.

Not all early Ts are T-buckets.

I'm still thinking a pickup bed would work the best, but I might have a line on a turtle deck.

I'm kinda bummed I forgot to put the rad shell on for these pictures.

The bed would end up being about 4' long and that would put it out past the tires to balance out the length of the front of the car.

On the other hand, the turtle deck I have my eye on is a '26-'27 unit actually.

Either way, it'll be getting a nerfbar bumper and most likely some model A taillights.

  15. Looking good Norton, I've drawn up a bed on mine several times. It would be great for putting stuff in which I don't have now, talking a real bed (3-4ft) not the tiny short ones either. You know what I mean.

    Thanks Phil!
That's exactly my thinking. There's a spot of room behind the rear crossmember that would be really good useable space.

  18. It was good to see it again in person on the weekend. You need to get your steering column finished up so you can steer it in the drive way!

Norton and I had a conversation on this a couple of weeks ago. I basically flat out told him that the bed has to be long enough to sit in and stretch your legs out in. :)
How else is he going to watch movies at the drive-in!?

It seems the longer the bed length the earlier the car/truck would've been built.

I'm shooting for a long bed. Not stock length but pretty darn long.
It'll have a working tailgate and all the original latches too.

Seems I'm getting a pretty good profit sharing cheque in the next week or so...
I bet most of it goes to a trip to The Race Of Gentlemen in Oct and to steel body panels.

    Pick up beds rule!

I'm hoping for something similar to this from psycho666

    Just a little shorter.

Maybe like Rickman's truck when he was shooting for HotRod way back..
But I'm pretty sure it was stock.

I have also considered a truck box for the Model T I bought not to long ago.

I really like the idea of a little longer box.

got to agree !! It's either a bucket or a roadster pickup....roadster pickups suk IMO. I made my own turtle deck in steel. Waaaay cooler :D

  30. Best of both without compromise. JW
