Thanks, I've been waiting. The Roundup never fails to deliver. You too, for that matter.

I learned something shooting film—specifically black and white—at a car show: it’s a hell of a lot of fun. I enjoyed every part of it… clicking the shutter, developing the roll, making a contact sheet and scanning the frames. The whole process felt like some kind of controlled madness I could actually wrap my hands around during a chaotic weekend.

    But here’s the truth I wasn’t expecting: it’s 100% selfish.

This kind of shooting doesn’t do much to show off the cars, or capture the atmosphere, or document the event for anyone who wasn’t there. My “art” doesn’t represent the Round Up in any broad, public sense—it just reflects whatever the hell I was chasing through the viewfinder that morning.

And honestly, I’m probably the only one getting anything out of it. Some guy on the HAMB just wants to see what cars showed up. What he gets instead is my moody little "art" experiments. I should do better... and I'll try... But still, that was a hell of a lot of fun and I don't know that I'd do anything different now that I've recognized it.

I watch the footage every year and from what I’ve seen so far it seems like it was a really up year in terms of cars, weather and etc hoping to hear more stories from the weekend as people make it back home.

    thanks for the post :)

We went last year and had a great time! Cars were great, people were super friendly, food was excellent, and the weather was even OK. About the only complaints we could find were the interstate traffic, and the bats wouldn’t fly out from the bridge! Hopefully I get to do it again some time.

Actually I prefer Old Skool b and dub!!! Too cool and once in a while you gotta do it your way! Break the Rules, there's always the next time to be by the book if you want to call it that. CARRY ON with the B&W for those of us who can no longer!!!

Thanks for the extra effort with all the family pandemonium. Certainly been there!
If that little 29 with the flattie isn’t the one that grabbed you, it will certainly do until Wednesday.
If you ever print it, I’m in.

I beg to differ. The Style and Shapes of the metal ( be it factory or custom forged ) is more pronounced and evident without the draw of a favorite or,,, not favored color.
Say A '59 Dodge in red and white vs B/W I see more of the style art.
Same of the Plymouth, and yeah, old FoMoCo tin ( will we ever get tired of seeing that Old FoMoCo tin?? )
BTW Thanks for standing tall as a Dad and Partner keeping the 'ranch' running.
I should not have to but, will say, you are most good to the 'Board'

I'm surprised there hasn't been more noise around this '53 Plymouth:
