Damn, your shittin me! that is really getting with it, I have a flathead and I know that it is a looooooong way from that. And I not talkin about the ol stoccker form behind the barn that used to propel my coupe the Round-UP a couple of years ago.

Thanks for sharing your adventures, makes me want to get out and have some adventures myself.

Thanks for the ride...Broken parts make any event memorable.I know Tim
from decades ago in Tulsa and its no surprise that he'd be up for a thrash.
Thanks for the pics too,the broke crank on the floor in Tim's shop made me
    smile.

    thanks doc

It sure is a good feeling to have a bunch of great friends on stand by
like you, in case something bad happens ?

It sure takes the stress off of worrying about breaking stuff
    and getting back home,
so I can just drive the car for what it was built for
tearing up the nostalgia races

any one bringing a empty trailer up to mokan from austin ?
gonna try too make it this year

    and here's that ticket :)

  16. Crazy "Trophy Whore" Casey ...

Great thread ... thanks for taking the time to post all the pics and the play-by-play account of your weekend adventure.

Now you're one up on me with broken axles (click HERE) ... but you win! ... Axle Breaking contests are one "event" that I'd rather not participate in ever again :)

I regret not going to the Thaw, but it's always great reading "The Mis-Adventures of Casey and his trusty Coupe".

    What a cool story.
Good to see ya again Casey.
Glad to hear/see you made it home safe & sound with all your "ill booten gottey" as the sun faded into the west.
Old car adventures are some of the best. For some reason broken hot rods seem to bring out the best in people.

Man, I'd love to go next year. Thanks for the photo journalism of the event! Looks like a blast. What are the criteria for racing there? I may try to run my '62 pickup at the Day of the Drags this year and maybe hit up the Thaw next time around.

  22. Good Job Collin!!! I cant belive you keep breaking axles..

my brother in law lost an eye in a BB gun accident when he was a kid. The old "you will lose an eye" statement is not just an old wives tail, it is real and I know the person it started with!
