Hi guys. Please help me get this out. I really want my thanks to reach everyone. See you at Mocan!! What power (H.A.M.B.) !!! What if it ever fell into the wrong hands ? !!! Well now. This is my first post and I don't have spellchecker, so, I hope you all will cut me some slack. I have tried to get on the message link for the whole week but have been so destracted by the loss and speaking to and e mailing Tulsa police detectives and four diffferent TV news stations, it's been a real task. Most importantly, With this post, I will try to find the words to express to each of you how greatful I am for all your support, help, and encouragement in the last nine days. HAMB members, friends, EVERY member of the S.D.R.A. ( all my friends) , And some dozen members of the Tulsa P. D. Those Tulsa cops truely did demonstrate to me that they really wanted to help and I feel they went way further than they had to. I will soon call all the TV news depts to report the news of the recovery and express my thanks to them also. My son Joe, Junkyarddog 32, was gone out last eve. and didn't get and of my messages about my HAGR dragster being retrieved until Sun. AM. I think he has posted his thanks also. A few SDRA pals and friends need to be named. Todd Reed, (Breeder) Steve Cardinal, (Louver Dude) Bob (Hiney) Hindman, Ted,(Mr Mac), Mike Sanmiguel (Okie Outlaw), And you all know my pal (3 window Larry). All these and more helped me through this and will always be considered my friends. I do need to clear up the details of the reward. I am paying a reward. The details of which will remain few for now. I will not be collecting any money fron those of you who so generously offered to contribure toward the amount. I extend my thanks to each of you and ask that you understand, just the fact that you would feel for my loss and wish to help in any way, means far more than the money . I want you to put it is your gas tank and come to the HAMB drags 08 and let me shake your hand!! Come take a close at my 2low32. I will be happy to meet you. Well gang, I could go on and on, but enough. My appreciation is greater than I can explain. My love and regards to you all. Cowboy Bob.
I was following the posts and I'm very happy for you that it worked out for the better. There's way too much of this happening and over the last 2 plus years that I've been here, have found that there's an incredible amount of help that can be had when it's really needed.
I too have followed the Cowboy Bob Saga. I love happy endings Kudos to ALL involved!!! And welcome Cowboy Bob!
I am so happy you got your car back! Have a great time at the drags this year. As an aspiring HA/GR racer, I hope to see your car and the others in person. If I don't make it out this year, I'll definitely shoot for next year. With my drag car. Good things do happen some of the time.
Glad to hear that you got the ole' gal back.........after you hit the wall last year at the HAMB Drag National's my heart sunk and then 3WLarry jumped in his car and chased down the track and the EMT guys followed and then you "sorta" walked away.......I really felt bad to see your car on the trailer and "bent"......but, you said you would be back...........
