    not the best way,but we did it; See those things at the end of the spring ?
    they are called shackles and there are two on each side, Make 4 of those with hole further apart, say 2 inches,
    using the stock shackles as your pattern. (nobody sells them )

    O, the stock ones have square holes, ones you make, drill round, then file them square.
    And take it EZ on the corners, put on tube shocks.

    You could break the spring pack apart and pull a few leaves. The roads are much better today than in 41 so losing a few leaves should not matter. Also if you have a big truck shop or spring shop in your area you could have a reversed eye main leaf built for the stock spring pack.
