My parents were in town for a visit. So, I thought we could have fun with a little project...

I cannot believe I was actually considering hiring some one to do this.
We had a great time. It's something I'll remember for the rest of my life.

My father got me into all of this and now I cant even get him to pick a car or truck out so I can buy it for him he has lost all interest in old cars. You are very lucky.

Your top looks great. When I chopped my 3W the first cut was the hardest. Then it was easy. You'll always have this great memory of doing it with your dad. Good luck, The FOGGER

  7. yup! thats pretty much how it is with my father also. I grew up knee deep in his old cars (mostly restored stockers) and nowadays I can't even drag him along to a swapmeet, complete and total dis-interest in the old car scene and if I try to encourage him to came take a look at something he
turns into a real grumpy ol s.o.b !

63dan you are lucky to have an old man like you do, make the most of while you both can.
Top job on the top too !

I hope that those of you that have your dad, appreciate him. I lost my dad when I was fourteen, I never really got to enjoy this kind of stuff.

Thank you for all of the replies. We took out 5 inches. Dad went back home to Iowa. I get to do the welding. I'm counting on 29Jay to give me some pointers.
