I wanted to put up a public thank you to @Ryan and everyone involved in the H.A.M.B Drags. This year was my first trip down to the drags and I was blown away. Absolutely blown away. The event just reminded me what this hobby is truly about... the people. The cars are great don't get me wrong. But the people are what makes it! I met people I have "known" online for years and people I've never heard of yet felt like they were family. My batteries have been completely recharged! I drove my piss yellow flathead roadster 396 miles over 2 days and I couldn't have asked for a better running car... but the highlight of my trip was watching my 4 yr old son yell at the top of his lungs "GO MAN GO!!!" as two cars made a pass down the strip! So again, thank you to everyone involved and I'll see you again next year for sure!!! Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I didn't take very many pictures... I was having too much fun! Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I've often said, "Sure, the cars are cool and that's what brings us all together but, it's really about the people". You said it better than I ever could.
That's what it is all about. Good people and having fun in the process. And driving your hot rod there and back.
Saw you as you pulled into Pete and Jakes Friday AM. You leaped out and were intent on fixing something on the car. Next time I'll wander over and introduce my self. Rocky
Haha! Yeah man my car is column shift and I had to panic stop to try and help xracer with his coupe. My car got stuck in 2nd gear and when I tried to yank it free the shift linkage broke. The guys at pete and Jake's helped me get her fixed well enough to drive the rest of the way! Sent from my SM-G955U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
