   Seems you answer your own question. The 700 has a much lower 1st gear than the others. (but I'd look into the 200R first)

   Do you guys think that it would be possible to use my factoy 3 speed shifter for the 700r4. Maybe just lock it in place so that it only uses 1 shift fork...
