Got to go for a nice drive on Saturday june 24 / 17 to Brockport NY, a quaint village just west of Rochester NY, home of Kodak camera people. My friend Steve lives there and accepts ebay and telephone purchases I make for my under construction 1935 chev roadster ...SHAZZBOTT.
Paying in USA $$$ really hurts as its currently .30 cents on the dollar..........or costs me $1.30 to buy one USA $.

So if I buy a $1000.00 worth of stuff its now worth $1300.00, throw in shipping, OUCH. To beat the shipping cost down to its knees, Steve takes delivery for me. UPS and FED-X brokers fees really add up when shipped direct to Canada. Can add 40--50% to the cost !!!

So I fire up the chev S10 extreme, fill it full of regular gas $70 and motor down to the border and over to Rochester. NY. Cross a bridge pay a fee, hit interstate, pay a fee......another $18 out of my pocket.
Hit Steves, load truck full of car parts, head back to border. Here we go again........so Mike you got receipts for $6000 US worth of parts, so we refactor that into Canadian dollars at .30 on the dollar = $1800. So its $6000 + $1800 = Value at $7800. Now to top that off the government nails you 13% HST tax on the $7800 value.
OUCH OUCH AND MORE OUCH OUCH to your wallet.

Some people figure , ha will not declare everything......DUMB move it you get caught. The fine $$$$ far exceeds the items value. You may have your vehicle seized and end up calling a friend to come get your or end up in jail

Heres a picture of one of my 5 trips , its a whole day but the dollars saved on shipping UPS fees is well worth it.

Very nice, like you said just add the steering wheel and the seat, I would also add the dash too.
Then add the Ash flooring up to the firewall, to complete the look.

People say isn't there a lot of wood in early chevys. ???...............YUP up to 1935 with the standard series this was how they were built.

My 35 chev roadster Shazzbott will be driven and displayed at cruise nites just like this.

If your looking for a right side running board, one is listed on ebay today. Not sure if 33 master , 34 master or possible 34=35 standard.

just went to the ebay auction, missed the openings in the side for the stainless molding, which would make it a 34 master running board, I think, not really sure on 34 masters or maybe other gm product. Its about 4" longer than a standard.

If you go to ebay, type into search...........1934 Chevrolet in EBAY MOTORS. The click on newest listings and you should be able to scroll down and find it as it was listed 2 days ago.

that's what I said, its 4" too long so its for a 34 master because of the holes in the side for the stainless trim a master has , or possibly one of the other gm cars..........pontiac, oldsmobile , buick of similar wheelbase of 112.

Like i told you stuff turns up on ebay , just have to SEARCH EVERY DAY. Sooner or later what U want will appear and be prepared to bid on it with 10 seconds to go.

Okay I'll bite, did you spray something inside..........if so whats it called.

What are you going to do with the firewall, looks like a piece of swiss cheese slice..................lots of holes to fill, all sources of hot air infiltration.

Ha ha! Eastwood sound and heat barrier. Thinking of putting a piece of polished stainless on outside firewall.

Or you could get a piece of 3/16 or 1/4" thick 6061-T6 aluminum.
polish it, or get it powder coated to match the color of you car or underhood.
you could also have a pattern milled into the surface. My coupe has one and my roadster also has one. The coupe one is ball milled. The roadster one has this special pattern I had milled into it and also the weber air cleaner tops........after that it went to get powder coated in flat black

Hmmm? Well the car will be a dark Matt black with black rims and motor. Is aluminum better then stainless? For the engine compartment firewall? Love the pattern, can I do that myself?

The pattern in the coupe firewall is ball milled using a LARGE MILLING MACHINE. I had it done at a tool and die shop with the right equipment. I originally cut the firewall shape out using a jig saw with a 8 tooth blade. I then drilled the holes for the hood rods in upper corners and lower down a pair of holes. I had a spare cowl I used to do the correct shape. I bolted the aluminum plate to the cowl and used a hand held 3 x21 belt sander to get the plate to perfectly match the body. I then laid out the 1" between lines pattern and had the shop do it.
One of these days that polished firewall will be removed , sand blasted and then powder coated satin black for zero maintenance, just a simple wipe with wet/damp cloth.

The firewall for my Roadster with the short pattern milled in , was done by a friend Mike Campbell who had acquired a milling machine , a small one and the pattern was the maximum it could do. This firewall was cut out using a water jet cutter and the edges finished with a belt sander while it was mounted to the roadsters firewall.
From there it went to flashfire coatings for black **satin** coating of powder .

I also had another firewall plate in 1/4" thick aluminum cut out by water jet. This will be used in my red 35 phaeton which has a stainless firewall. Then I will conjure up a completely different idea for a pattern, then get it powder coated gloss flame red to match car.

If your going to use mirror finish stainless, find a high pressure water jet cutter to easily cut it out , because a metal cutting band saw is difficult to use and get straight lines.

If you look at your posted picture from the inside of the firewall you will see 2 STOCK holes per side 1/4"--5/16" just where the firewall starts to bend inward, use those 4 to mount the firewall cover and the top corner firewall rad rods. Take a grinder and take most of the head off the factory firewall rivets so the firewall can sit flat.

I found a whole pile of pictures of this coupe built by Cody Walls of PA, it has some incredible metal work on the firewall and inside , a lot that will never been seen.............all done by him.
