Thanks for compliments guys. And while I actually agree with you guys a bit, I just can't leave anything stock, never could.

I am still planning on a significant chop, maybe 4-5". No fenders. Mild v8 with a 5spd. Nothing crazy just a clean simple and safe build. Nothing I take off of the car will be wasted, anything I don't need will end up in the hands of others.

I'll bet you get this a lot..."A Ford motor in a Chevy"!!! Sacrilege, man! That car probably shudders a little every time you fire it up. ;)

I'm getting ready of the 2015 Omaha World of Wheels car show. I figured some racing numbers were in order on the 30 Chevy Speedster. 30-1.jpg 30-3.jpg 30-2.jpg

  17. A J Foyt would be proud to see that number on your Chevy Speedster :)

Jim your coupe is such an icon for us early chevy guys. I remember following that build.....so frickin' cool.

  21. Been away from the rod. Busy relocating my bakery and getting it up and running..well it's up and running, back to the chevy! Finally using the cowl, visor and post covers 2nd chance shipped up a while ago. The cowl I had just wasn't fitting right. I have really enjoyed reading and looking thru this thread.

It is a hard thread to find. So I took the liberty of starting a social forum here on the HAMB.
It will be Chevy or GM only.
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/social-forums/termites-and-bowties.848/

Not trying to step on anyones toes, but we will be able to start threads about our Chevy's and keep them easy to find.
By the way, my Boy and I just picked up a 1930 2 dr sedan to start planning on. And of course the wood is bad.

  23. Yeah it's been way too quiet on this thread. Everyone must be driving and enjoying their Chevys :)

  29. There already is a social group, which was started when this thread started, but people seemed to post here more than there.
