I think that when a winner is announced,there should be a link to the winning post.I lose track of who posted what during tech week.Might be all the years of drugs,but still.....
lets see....jay....vagabond..... zman......vagabond.... somethings fishy around here!!!! ohh wait, i forgot to shower..nevermind congrats jay....well deserved bro!!! btw, i havea a bday clock hangin here in my livinroom that jay did for me a couple years back! its bitchin!!!!!
Congratulations Tinman. Your tech reminds me of my dad; who would always come up with low buck, or no buck, solutions for repairing cars and what not around the home. Ingenious little tools or tricks that still amaze me when I think about it. He's still doing this stuff at age 74. Good stuff!
Congrats. Nice job Jay! I put your post to good use already and made a nice little floor pan patch for my truck. It's a little ugly, but will be all covered up anyway.
congrats on the win Da Tinman. Great post and a great way to show folks that you dont have to have a shop full of high-end tools to get the job done. Loved tech week, got tons of killer ides to put to use in the shop.
I learned a lot from several of the Tech week Threads but this on will probably be the one that more guys including myself go out to the garage or other work spot and make use of. Well done.
<HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #e5e5e5; COLOR: #e5e5e5" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message --> congrats to Tinman and all the other contributers!
Congrats Tinman, and thanks to everyone who contributed. That had to be one of the biggest number of tech threads, for a tech week, as well as one of the most informative.
You're not the only one....... We all have been watching the thread on the dreaded falcon. We know the truth, we seen the terrible tasks you forced your wife to perform. She should get the credit.....besides I don't think the hands in the pictures are yours.......
Had some time to soak it all in,, first off, I want to thank everyone that did a tech. I was just glad to in the running at the end, and am still a bit shocked that I won. Thanks to Ryan, 3wLarry, HotRod33, Zman, Atomic Hot Rods and John/Mark-V! This message board has become a big part of my life and has caused some rather important changes to my life. Most of my friends are from the HAMB. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure I knew what true friendship meant till I got here. Getting adopted by the Vagabonds was an unbelievable honor too! I'd take a bullet for most of you! My entire family, Dad (Castr8r), Evil Step Dad, (Oldbobsign), Mom (Glo), Wife (StephieJo), and my daughter Alex (TheEmoKid) are all here and most are active members. Mom and ESD met because one Hamber was to lazy to go pick up a wiper box. I am so happy that I was able to give back something useful to this crazy place, small payment for all that its given to me.
First off, congrats to Da Tinman ... well deserved! When I read Ryan's Blog Wednesday morning, I assumed he had just written a fictional "Route 66 Bowling Alley" story to creatively thank the "prize givers" ... as well as announce the winner of Tech Week ... little did I know, he wasn't making the story up ...
