    I'm swapping out the manifold on the coupe, the location of the waterpump to manifold bypass is in a slightly different location on the new manifold.

    I know to some this will seem absolutely basic and if kept looking I may have found the fitting I needed but,

    this is how I solved this problem.

    the first picture shows the misalignment;

    The shortest threaded hose fitting I could find just happened to be for a 5/8" hose.

    I put it in the vice and cut it at an angle, about half the angle I wanted to end up with;

    then I turned the cut piece to get the sharpest angle and welded it with my gas torch;

    I filed it smooth and bead blasted it clean;

    I picked up a short 90 degree hose that was 5/8" on one end to fit the new fitting and 3/4" on the other end to fit the pressed tube in the manifold;

    screwed the new fitting in place and trimmed the pressed tube a little;

    I was a little luckier with the upper radiator hose, with a little trimming on both ends I was able to re-use the old one that I had cut from a longer hose that happened to have the proper bends to it.

    you can also see the brass plugs in the unused heater bibs;

    Looks great Paul!
    That has always been a problem on big blocks.
    A lot of these small details are lost on people when they look at cars at shows and stuff.
    They have no idea of the time and energy it takes to build a car.
    That little fitting is a prime example.
