OK,lets say you have a chrome bumper and the sands of time have been unkind and a few holes rust in them. Can they be repaired?or would it be best to just try and find another one?

  2. It's just steel right?
If the bumper is for something special, like a Tucker,
your going to repair the original,or make a new one from scratch.

Any mass produced car or truck, see if you can find another one
    in better condition.

    If it's replaceable, replace it.
Just to chrome a bumper is $400 and up.
If it's rare either cut out the rot and re weld it or if holes are small sand blast and braize or solder them.
Ask a plating shop to do repair and it'll cost a fortune, as every hour is on the clock.
