Tech idea for top rad tank

    The radiator tank on the wife's Metropolitan is beat to shit, I am too cheap to get a new rad, I made a cover to weld on the rad support to cover it up.

    The cover is 2 Y-block valve covers butt welded together. I used the y block covers because the ribbed panels are like the ribbed section on the doors of her car. The cover will be body color, the car goes in for paint Monday. The 2 hold down holes will be filled with a pair of acorn nuts.
    There is not much to tell for a tech, just cut, weld, holesaw and fit.
    I first was going to use a inline 6 valve cover from a Rambler, be I found the 292 covers in a pile at my old man's and took em. There was a Ford 6 that also had a cover that would look good, there are many other covers that could be used.
    The cover was spliced at the fourth rib from the right.
